Namaste, my name is Gokul Ganesan and I am Mr. India World 2024. I'm here to share something deeply personal with you today. India, a diverse and vibrant nation, home to 1.4 billion souls, stands as the world's largest democracy, but within its vastness lies a profound dichotomy. While some of us enjoy the comfort of luxury, many others are burdened by the weight of unmet basic needs. According to a 2014 McKinsey report, 680 million Indians, that is 56% of our population, still struggle to meet their basic needs. The cost of elevating them surpasses the mere elimination of poverty, fueling my deep sense of urgency for change. This urgency is the driving force behind my partnership with Common People Social Foundation. Together we've not just addressed the immediate needs, but have kindled the flames of hope and ambition. We have provided meals, stationery, and much more, enabling the children to dream big, to see themselves as equal to any other child in the world. Inspiration is the spark that fuels transformation. I've shared my personal journey with these young minds, showing them that no dream is too distant with the right support. I've met individuals like Sania Thambi, who will be the first graduate from their tribal community. I hope you become a good police officer. All the best. Thank you. For more people in the community to excel and upskill themselves, they need electricity, lights to keep learning even after the sun sets. To support them, I have donated and installed solar panels that will supply electricity to the community and won't hinder their growth. I truly want them to have the ray of hope that everything is achievable and nothing can stop them from excelling and growing. This journey has introduced me to countless remarkable souls, each a vivid reminder of why I embarked upon this mission.
