A voice for the underprivileged is the voice for the voiceless. This is my fight for those who have not been heard and those who are suffering in silence, regardless of men, women or children. Whoever goes through a hard time in life, my purpose is to be a voice for them so that they could be heard. Way back before I started my journey in Mr World, since 2017, I have been an ambassador for Be My Protector, a non-profit organisation which brings awareness and also brings justice for people who have gone through sexual abuse and also who have been victims of human trafficking. There have been studies since 2020 to 2024 in Malaysia that over more than 900 people have been reported missing and have yet to be found. In a recent investigation and raid, there were 73 people who were rescued and 25 were men, 26 were women and 22 were children and these people were victims of almost human traits, human trafficking and sexual abuse. I have worked closely with authorities and have managed to help many individuals come out of sexual exploitation and human trafficking but we were not allowed to have any footages to protect the privacy of the victims. Hence we conduct regular self-defence classes to bring awareness to this issue so that many will be aware of their surroundings and do not fall into the hands of predators. Beyond that, I have worked closely with Street Feeders KL to feed the homeless around the city of Malaysia as well. As Street Feeders is an NGO that provides food for the homeless, my contribution towards the country was able to raise monetary funds to provide food for the homeless. We are all aware that children are also our future, they are the one who is going to be living our legacy. Working closely with the children from Destiny C3 Education Centre, a refugee school in Malaysia, with over 200 children who are seeking asylum in Malaysia for various reasons, their only hope for a future is proper education. Hence the campaign to raise funds to sustain the school for these young children has been one of my main goals throughout my reign as Mr World Malaysia. My journey for the voice for the underprivileged started way before I embarked on the Mr World journey and I have promised myself to continue to be the voice for the underprivileged regardless of wherever this journey takes me as this will be my lifelong pursuit.
